Finally, Summer 2008 is here and it’s time to relax and enjoy those long awaited great outdoor family adventures.

The City of Ottawa offers a nice selection of fun seasonal activities for the whole family to enjoy.  Some of the Summer activities include wading pools, splash pads, parks and beaches.  There is a section reserved on the City of Ottawa website to give you all the pertinent details of these seasonal events.

The Beaches section lists all the information you need to know about the local Ottawa beaches.  Including directions, facility information, and even daily water quality reports.

There is also a fun program called Park-ticipate put on by the City’s recreational staff that offers free crafts, sports, and other fun activities for children ages 4-10. The online schedule gives you a list of theme’s for the Summer and the park schedules.

There is also a comprehensive Day Camp Guide in PDF format that lists all of the programs that the City runs in each neighborhood.
