This coming weekend August 1-4, 2008 is a fun midsummer celebration here in Ottawa called the Rideau Canal Festival.

Thursday, July 31st from 7-10pm marks the adopt-a-metre kick off activities with live Celtic music and Sunday, August 4 from 11am – 4pm enjoy free Colonel By Day Celebrations at the Bytown Museum including Children’s Heritage Games and Face Painting.
